TARMAC SURFACING
MasterTar recommends tarmac surfacing on areas that bear heavy traffic volumes. This includes commercial driveways and parking areas, entry roads, factory yards, warehousing sites and light industrial areas.
Tarmac can be used immediately after it has been laid but the road construction process requires appropriate base preparation in accordance with the surface’s weight-bearing needs and drainage requirements. It is highly advisable to install any under-tar reticulation while constructing the base. Your site designer should take this into account in the site plan. We will usually ask to see the site plan and specifications prior to quoting.
Our Civils, Paving and Roads divisions usually perform the earthworks and provide road accessories. This provides a seamlessly managed contract for the total tar project and eliminates potential delays while sub-contractors interact with one another to schedule their operations.
Tar roads have the advantage that they are relatively easy to maintain, repair and re-seal after about 12 years. MasterTar will be happy to quote on any tarmac surfacing and to advise on a maintenance program for your existing tar surfaces.
